Happy International Women’s Day to all ladies out there! Today, 8th March, is the day women are celebrated worldwide. 😀

International Women’s Day 2018
Now, more than ever, there’s a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity. There’s a strong call to #PressforProgress motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.
~From International Women’s Day

And that is the theme of our Collaboration with a Purpose this month – posts dedicated to the women worldwide! Will we write about the women who inspire us in our lives? The successful women? The issues women encounter on a daily basis?

You’ll find out later today. (Yes, I’m a bit late with this intro post.) 😛

And here’s the movie trailer-like phrase as always:

COLLABORATION WITH A PURPOSE: DEDICATED TO WOMEN

The Collaborators!

Here’s the list of bloggers taking part, in alphabetical order! I added little excerpts from their blogs that really caught my eye and will hopefully whet your interest enough to visit their blogs too. 😀

  • Barb Caffrey @ Barb Caffrey’s Blog (“So, if you believe in any sort of Higher Power, one of the things you need to remember is to forgive yourself once in a while.”)
  • Divyang Shah @ i think my way (“If someone don’t speak much, don’t interpret as a dumb, their mind must be working on something very big or may be he is a writer and observing surrounding on which he would come with some deep write-ups.”)
  • Ipuna Black (“None of us are perfect or come from perfect backgrounds, but this doesn’t mean we can’t aim for a positive and fulfilling life. The life we all deserve.”)
  • Jane Love @ Harmonious Joy (“People who have a genuine say and a true voice of their own… not just an echo of some celebrity they think they love.”)
  • Mylene C. Orillo (“Where I’m at right now is a testament that ‘Dreams really do come true.'”)
  • Sadaf Siddiqi (“The best thing about memories, is one doesn’t realise they are making memories but once recorded, it just rewinds and takes one back to the beautiful series of life.”)
  • Sonyo Estavillo @ ‘Lil Pick Me Up (“I am here to champion anyone from the successful and confident folks, to those that are clinically depressed.”)
  • Swati Kadam @ Wholesome Reliable (“Getting lost is not wrong, usually the thing wrong is not REALISING direction we are heeding to. BECAUSE GETTING LOST IN RIGHT DIRECTION IS SAID TO BE FINDING SELF, NOT LOSING SELF!”)
  • Tajwar Fatma @ LifeAsWeHaveNeverKnownIt (“When life hits you hard, hit back harder!”)
  • And of course myself, Nicolle K @ Stories of a Highly Sensitive Introvert! (“Success, for me, is when I spend my days feeling happy, peaceful, fulfilled and without fear of lack.”)

While waiting for the latest instalment, do head over to my Collaboration with a Purpose Index to see the other themes we’ve completed so far!

A Short Self-Compassionate Letter

Dear Self,

It’s still lovely to see you participating in this as always, even though you’re experiencing a pretty bad burn out. ❤

    1. Hi Mylene, I’m doing all right, thanks for checking in and I hope you’re doing well! It took a while but I finally finished writing my post (only three days late! 😛) and it should be up in a bit. 😀
Thanks and Happy Belated Women’s Day to you too!

  1. I’m sorry to hear you’re dealing with burnout. That is no fun at all.

I am looking forward to whatever you write today, though, Nicolle. I always enjoy seeing your posts, reading ’em, reflecting on ’em, and then going forth and doing something about them. 🙂 (Never think you are shouting straight into the void. I hear you, and I think many others do, too.)

    1. Thanks very much for the kind words! You certainly made my day. ❤

I may be dealing with a burnout, but I’m mustering the ability to write now and my post should be up in a while! Fingers crossed. 😀

      1. I’m glad that you are feeling somewhat better, writing-wise.

And my words were absolutely true. 😀

Just do your best, with the writing. We all struggle with this. I know I do. 🙂
