Mid-Week Video Day: A Thought Experiment on the Intelligence of Crows

I think that’s cool! I never thought crows were smart enough to learn how to operate a vending machine, though I did know they were pretty smart and have a looooong memory. I remember my mum once told me a story where a guy tried to exterminate some crows and successfully did so to some. However, the surviving crows all banded together and made life miserable for the guy after that – making a lot of noise when he came by, pooping all over his car (only his car!), etc. Scary. 😅

So remember, never make a crow mad, or the whole group will come for you. 😆

And I agree with the presenter’s last words; rather than thinking of exterminating these “pests”, why not train them to help us and have a mutually beneficial relationship? 😀

A Short Self-Compassionate Letter Dear Self,

It’s nice of you to think a mutually beneficial relationship is better. 😀

  1. Wow! I had no idea crows were that smart! I love their team spirit and fighting back. I agree. We should figure out how to connect with these incredibly smart and creative problem-solvers to help make our mutual world a better place.
