There are very few soundtracks that invoke fear in me, with my heart pounding, and this is one of them! The horror, the helplessness, the darkness that seems to envelop us as we face the final villain, hearts pounding loudly, especially with that haunting Latin singing…

This is one of the most popular soundtracks of the entire Final Fantasy series! Even though this soundtrack is called “One-Winged Angel” (from Final Fantasy VII), the villain in the final showdown is nothing like an angel, as you can probably tell from the atmosphere. 😆

Actually I thought long and hard whether or not to share this masterpiece of a soundtrack, as personally I’d prefer to invoke positive feelings when you’re reading my blog and this doesn’t invoke any (instead it does the opposite). But then again, I share these soundtracks not because I want you readers to be scared or feel down (far from it!), but to be as moved as I am when I listen to these soundtracks, and also to celebrate these composers’ great ability! I guess it’s not so bad when I think that way, is it? 😀

Hope you enjoyed this (scary) soundtrack and do let me know what you think of my posting this!

A Short Self-Compassionate Letter

Dear Self,

It’s wonderful how you chose to share this soundtrack despite your reservations. 😀
