Random Video Day: This is What Happens When You Respond to Spam Emails

Hello, people! Yesterday and today are two of those days where I don’t have any blog post ideas whatsoever (bloggers’ block? 🤔), so today I’m going to cheat a little and post a video instead of writing. 😛

For those who are new to spam emails, here’s what they are:

Email spam, also known as junk email, is a type of electronic spam where unsolicited messages are sent by email.

Many email spam messages are commercial in nature but may also contain disguised links that appear to be for familiar websites but in fact lead to phishing web sites or sites that are hosting malware. Spam email may also include malware as scripts or other executable file attachments (trojans). Spam is named after Spam luncheon meat by way of a Monty Python sketch in which Spam in the sketch is ubiquitous, unavoidable and repetitive.

~From Wikipedia: Email Spam

Needless to say spam emails are bad. 😱

Many of us just mark these emails as spam and delete them, and even set up email filters so that we’d never set our eyes on these darn things. But one man has taken upon himself to reply to these spammers and waste their time so that they have less time to dupe others! Here’s one of his exchanges:

Yep, that’s the best email ever. 😆

  1. This is hilarious but on a serious note, he got me thinking about other ways to respond to scammers or let’s say people who want to piss you off or scam. Play their game or make it fun and let’s see who’s more pissed you or them. Haha. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Glad you found it hilarious! I remember reading some people’s ways of responding to phone scams, like talking in a foreign language or responding with a standard phone message like, “The number you have called…” 😆

Do share if you got a funny email exchange going on with a scammer. 😛
