Wow, thank you, Jess! Picture from Growing Self

Oh, wow, Jessica Bakkers have just nominated me for yet another blog award! From its creator, the Growing Self Blogger Award:

“…has been created to acknowledge and celebrate amazing individuals, in the blogging community, who are persevering through life’s challenges not only to GROW as individuals, but to reach out and help others GROW as well.” ~Roda
~From Growing Self

And with that wonderful meaning behind the award nomination, Jess nominated me with the following message:

Nicolle – you have such a free-spirit style to your posts that I absolutely love, and are a fellow INFJ which (as we know) means a lot to each other.

Wow, thanks, Jess! I swear you’re spoiling me to bits. 😆❤

As always, here’s how the award works:

  • Put the award logo/image on your blog
  • List the rules
  • Thank the individual that nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  • Describe the award and mention the creator: Roda  – Growingself.blog
  • Nominate up to 5 blogs.  Remember, the purpose of this award is to specifically celebrate those individuals that make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Give 1 reason why you nominated each individual.
  • Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog

My Nominations and Your Gifts to Me!

Do note that this is not compulsory, so feel free not to participate for whatever reason. 😀

Ipuna Black

Oh, Ipuna, where do I even begin? You were one of my first few followers when I was new, and you were such a nice, supporting friend it feels as though my low self-esteem will eventually melt away. And thanks to you inviting me to the first collaboration we did a couple of months ago, you opened the path for me to connect with yet so many other incredible bloggers! So it isn’t a stretch that I owe much of my blogging success to you, so thank you. ❤

Jane Love @ Harmonious Joy

I know you don’t do blogger awards, Jainey, but this is such a perfect place to say this! You have such an infectious enthusiasm that it’s hard not to feel enthusiastic myself, plus our random comment conversations always bring a smile to my face. ☀ I also appreciate that you offered to guide me on improving my self-esteem, and yes, I haven’t forgotten my homework. 😛

Jessica Bakkers

Yes, Jess, I’m nominating you back! 😆 I always love to read your posts and comments, and while I don’t have a dark sense of humour, many of your writing funnies tickled my funny bone! (Weeks later I still remember the one where the writer flipped the table at his/her own incomplete story. 😆) Also whenever you wrote about INFJs, many times it felt as though you were writing about me, so they really help me to understand more of myself. 😀

Yep, it’s a short post this time. 😛

A Short Self-Compassionate Letter

Dear Self,

It’s really nice of you to write such nice things about others. 😀

  1. Nicolle,
This is the sweetest post. Thank you very much. I don’t believe you have/had low self-esteem or that you are an introvert. Tell me who you really are! ha ha! I love your personality, and you make me laugh. I’m so glad the blogging community has welcomed you in with open arms. Thank you for your kind words once again. They mean so much to me! ❤️

    1. You’re welcome! That’s the truth. 😀❤️
Yes, I’m still an introvert; I get grumpy if I don’t have alone time for too long! And there are a couple of things I’d like to do but fear (from low self-esteem) is holding me back. One day, hopefully. 😀

      1. I get grumpy too in that case. Does that make me an introvert? Cause that’d be cool.
Introverts are cool. I mean, look at you, Nikki. You are the definition of awesomeness and coolness.

      2. If you get energised by socialising, you’re an extrovert. If you get energised by alone time, you’re an introvert. Which one are you? 😛

That’s really nice of you to say such wonderful stuff about me, so thanks for that! I think you’re really awesome yourself. 😀

      3. What if I’m inbetween? Like I get energized by both but depends on the circumstance.

        You’re welcome and that’s the truth. 😀
        Thank you!! ❤

I think there are online tests that you can take to confirm; I remember reading somewhere that usually people are a mix of both introvert and extrovert. I’m probably an 80% introvert. 😆

      5. 😆😆😆
80% extrovert suits you too. 😀
I read somewhere that if one is an extrovert and a highly sensitive person, their need for alone time is more than a usual extrovert and may make them think they’re an introvert instead. 🙂
